Introduction

TechEditor 0: a pilot software version contains only a text editor (not WYSIWYG) and a Pascal Script engine with multimodule support;
TechEditor 1: WYSIWYG text editor; completely new Pascal/Basic Script engine with Unicode support;
TechEditor 2: mathematical objects for reports / diagrams are added;
TechEditor 3: new rethought interface; mathsheets added; single .tec file; speed improvements; drawing automation, etc.

The requirements are published for the latest version of TechEditor 3.x.

TechEditor runs on the Windows operating system x86 or x64.
Windows 10 or 11 is recommended. Earlier versions of Windows (7, 8) can also be used, but the program has not been tested under these conditions.

Browser of TechEditor 3.x based on the Chromium engine and requires Microsoft Edge WebView2 component. Typically, this component is already installed on the Windows.
If this component is not present on your system, the installer will attempt to install it automatically during installation. Alternatively, you can install WebView2 Runtime manually: download and run Evergreen Bootstrapper. For more installation options see this page.
